Council

April 2020 Update

  • Due to lower offerings in January & February coupled with the deficit budget which was adopted at the    Annual Meeting, the Council made some difficult financial decisions at their March Meeting. Our Youth & Family Minister, Beckie Jenicek, was let go with 2 weeks severance pay. Due to COVID-19 we voted to pay Glenda Cabrera, our Nursery Care Worker, through the end of March and resume pay when we are again able to worship together.
  • The School District has closed all of their buildings to outside groups at this time. The Gathering Place has been disinfected and is closed to all entry until the school reopens.
  •  Our services will be available online as long as possible. This includes Palm Sunday, Holy Week, and Easter. When we are again able to Worship Together we will have another Easter Celebration (Easter 2.0).
  • Our Daily Bread will still provide food to the community on Sundays, while possible, but as take away meals only.
  •  Hiring for the Office Administrator Position is on hold at this time. Lydia Harris has agreed to remain as our Interim Office Administrator.
  •  You can send offering to the church via mail, online, or by phone. If you need help contact the Church Office.
  •  Each Council Member will contact assigned members of the congregation to check in with them.
